When you do go shopping in designer stores, it's important to think about the way you are dressed. I personally like to do my hair and makeup and wear an outfit that fits into what I believe Paris fashion is about. If you're dressed too casually or a little shabbily the store attendants can give you a lot of attitude and make you feel like you are out of place... I'm speaking from experience here! The reception I get when I am dressed up in a silk and lace dress paired with a designer handbag and a good pair of shoes is exponentially better than when I meander into the store wearing casual sandals, a t-shirt and jeans. I don't have more money when I'm dressed up, but they don't have access to that information. Knowing we as Americans do dress more casually than many other countries is something to think about when you're traveling. Break out the pieces you've been saving for special occasions.
