Kate Stoltz is partnering with female Mayan artisans living in Guatemala through a fair trade, nonprofit organization that connects artisans with designers and ensures that the artisans are paid fair wages. By providing fair wages to these world renowned textile artists, we are helping to provide sustainable jobs to women from the Mayan culture, which is considered the poorest of the Guatemalan population. These women are then able to provide education, food and other necessities to their families.
20% of each sale goes towards Developing Faces, a 501c3 nonprofit that specializes in surgical care for children and babies with cleft lip and palate living in Guatemala. 50% of each sale goes towards the Mayan artisans that make the pieces. 30% goes towards inventory, handling, web, marketing and other costs that Kate Stoltz LLC faces. Together, we can create a more sustainable future for everyone in the supply chain.
