Valentine's Day Gifts Posted on 11 Feb 06:00 , 1 commentValentine's Day is coming up fast. While most people think of it as a romantic holiday, I think it is a great day to celebrate friends as well. Have a single friend that always dreads the holiday because it makes her feel alone? Or want to show the friend that has been there for you through thick and thin how much you appreciate her? Remind her by sending her some flowers, chocolates, or something longer lasting, like a silk scarf that will remind her of you whenever she wear it!
Pre- Valentine's Day Kate Stoltz NYC Sale Posted on 11 Jan 06:00 , 0 comments
Valentine's Day is known as a day to show our loved ones, especially our significant others, how much we love them. It's also known for rosy pink and red colors, cupid's arrows and hearts. This year, Kate Stoltz NYC is running a pre-Valentine's Day sale to help women prepare for the special day. The selected products were carefully chosen based on color, design and occasion.
In the meantime, remember what the holiday is meant to bring out of people: love and compassion. Show love to people you meet, people you pass on the street and don't forget to show love to people online. As more of our interactions with strangers and friends happen behind computer screens, some people forget that the online interactions are just as important as the ones in person...
Valentine's Day Isn't Just for Couples Posted on 13 Feb 13:06 , 3 comments
Some people love Valentine's Day and see it as a day to show their loved ones how much they care about them. Others choose to ignore the holiday while some simply hate it. I overheard a classmate bemoaning about the fact that she dreads the day because she is a single girl. I know exactly how that feels.. When all of your friends are receiving beautiful roses and cute presents from the special person in their life, it's just a reminder that you are alone.
This year on Valentine's Day, I bought myself a dozen roses and am spoiling myself for a week. The reason why I am spoiling myself is because in order to appreciate other people, you need to first appreciate yourself and be happy with who you are. I know this is said over and over in inspirational blogs, etc. but it's so true. That's why I think Valentine's Day is fantastic for both singles and those in a relationship. It doesn't have to be a day set aside to show someone else that you love him/her. Valentine's Day can also be spent as a day to spoil yourself and get into touch with yourself. Love yourself and you'll be amazed at how people around you seem to magically turn into better people... it's the power of perception.
