I am so excited to announce that we are now carrying a cotton tee shirt with the Kate Stoltz logo. At only $24, the t-shirt is a great way to show your love for the brand without investing in a made to measure piece. $1.00 from each t-shirt sale gets donated directly to Developing Faces.
Featuring a modern feminine fit and classic V-neck, the t-shirt is made out of soft 100% cotton. Pair the t-shirt with ripped jeans and sandals for a cool, casual outfit or with a silk skirt and matching blazer for a balanced, chic outfit for the office or fun outings. Available in multiple colors and in sizes small to 2XL, there's a perfect fit for everyone.
Kate Stoltz partnered with Yves Saint Laurent Beauty for the launch of their All Hours Foundation 5 months ago on Instagram. I've been using the foundation ever since, and am still as impressed with it as I was when I first tried it on. (The photos are unedited except for increased brightness) I have always believed strongly in letting your skin breathe without foundation as often as possible. Your skin will look it's best if it can naturally breathe and heal without having your facial pores blocked by a heavy foundation. However, I still want to wear a full face of makeup for special events, especially red carpets and photoshoots.
Putting together a comfortable but stylish outfit is the way to go for weekend hangouts. The recently trending boyfriend jean is a godsend to those fashionistas out there who value both style and comfort- like myself, of course! One of my favorites is the Not Your Boyfriend's Jeans, by Fascino. The white wash and strategic rips make these jeans a chic option, meanwhile the loose fit offers that easy-going look. For some added color, I am sporting this beautiful Floral Watercolor Chiffon Scarf, by Kate Stoltz. This scarf is perfect for simple outfits that need a dash of color.
Pair these jeans with a simple black tee, like the soft Alex Jersey V-Neck, by AMVI, and some accessories and you're ready to go!

If you live in Manhattan, the best thing to do over holidays is to get out of the city. Don't get me wrong, I love living here. However, I grew up surrounded by nature. Singing birds, flowers, water and the fresh air are rare in the city. Escaping the noise and grime of the city is something that I look forward to. I then look forward to returning, refreshed and ready to tackle everything that needs to be done.

I lived in Boca Raton, Florida for a year before I moved to the city. Because of that, Florida feels like my second home- (or third, if you count PA) I love visiting as much as possible. On this last trip, I stayed at the 1 Hotel
in South Beach. Even if you aren't staying there, the restaurants and bar inside the hotel are worth visiting. The decor will inspire everything from your mood and clothing to your own furniture purchases :)

My favorite way to end the day is to sit on the beach and watch the sun set. South Beach faces east, so the sun doesn't set over the water. However, the colors are magical and reflect in the ocean waters, creating a Monet- like setting.

After the sun sets, it's dinner time. I love the Veranda
in Faena Hotel
to anyone that is visiting. They have incredible food and
art. There is an enormous nine foot tall gilded mammoth in the backyard by artist Damien Hirst that is worth seeing.

's menu had a thought- provoking message that I thought was worth sharing: 'You must be ready to burn yourself in your own flame. How could you rise anew if you have not first become ashes?

Where is your favorite place to escape to? XOXO- Kate Stoltz
A lot of people have been asking for a traditional Amish shoo-fly pie recipe. Here it is! The bottom of the pie turns out gooey. I always serve shoo-fly pie warm, with milk or ice-cream. Good Luck, and let me know if you like shoo-fly pie :)
People often ask me what inspires me when I design. The answer is simple: Travel. I love traveling, and get inspired by the different cultures, landscapes and lifestyles.
Don't know what to do this weekend? One of the many things to do in New York City is to visit the many museums. The rich variety of house museums, state museums and private collections is quite impressive. Here is a list of my favorites, click on the name to visit the website of the museum for more info:
When I first left the Amish community, I was angry, upset and hurt. I never fit into the culture. I was free-spirited, independent and didn't like the rules. I had no problem talking about how much I hated the ministers of the Amish church, and the way they wanted me to follow their idea of how I should live my life. I wanted to leave and never go back except visit my family.
The life we chose doesn't have to be adventurous, glamorous, confined or anything in particular. It can be whatever suits our individual personalities and ambitions. Humans now have global access to information about different cultures, religions, ideas and lifestyles. We have to choice to choose what we want to be, then pursue it with all of our heart. As a friend once told me when I was doubting myself as a fashion designer:
"Decide what you want to be, then become it. No excuses."
