An Outfit for a Boat Ride and Nautical Inspired Dinner Posted on 24 Aug 11:01 , 519 comments

A crisp white button down shirt is an essential garment in any woman’s wardrobe, especially during the summer. The classic white shirt is a modest piece that can easily be rolled up and unbuttoned to fit the personality of the individual wearing the piece. I personally have several variations of white button down shirts in my closet: a crisp cotton, a soft silk shirt for dressy events, and a more casual piece that I wear as a coverup while lounging by the pool or on weekends. While a white button down is far from a groundbreaking style, it’s a solid

A Peek into a Typical Winter Day for Kate Stoltz Posted on 5 Mar 06:00 , 23 comments

A light winter snowstorm has once again transformed the outdoors into a glittering, shimmering wonderland. I took a walk this morning before the snow and ice melted from the trees and the outdoors returned to brown and grey again. My dog, Victoria, joined me on the excursion. The Kate Stoltz Asymmetrical Silk Dress with Coordinating Neck Choker Posted on 19 Jul 11:25 , 145 comments

A recent trip to the Hamptons inspired this sea green Kate Stoltz NYC asymmetrical silk dress. I wanted the dress to flatter the figure, but wanted to be able to wear it during the day. I designed a body hugging dress with an asymmetrical 'wave'.  I loved the frayed edges of the silk, so I used the edge on the hem and the edges of the layers. This helped elevate the asymmetrical layers and complete the beach inspired look. To finish the look, I made a white choker that reminded me of the rope on a lifeguard buoy. I slipped on neutral wooden-soled shoes, staying in my pastel 'beach' color palate. nyc fashion designer kate stoltz

No tolerance for racial or religious hate

While I was at the Museum of New York City, I was struck by this poster. There is so much going on in the world today.. Our fight for religious and racial equality is far from over, we need to keep fighting for EQUALITY around the world. We ALL deserve to be treated as equals, no matter what our background is...
